Ed, someone said the Mecca died several years ago when new owners took over and started attracting ordinary people to the gym. What is your take on this? Do you see many of the big guys hanging around there?
I see Dexter Jackson, Jay Cutler, Ben Pakulski, Will Harris, Gunter, Hide Yamagishi and occasionally old-timers like Ferrigno, Ralf Moeller, David Dearth, Dean Tornabene, and others. I think that’s more action than most ‘ordinary’ gyms get, no?
Then add in the movie stars, heavyweight boxing champs, rock stars, and hockey pros and you have something a little more than ‘ordinary’.
Everyone can’t be famous or huge. There are plenty of regular people who work out there, but the atmosphere is still second to none.
