What's This?!
« on: February 19, 2010, 12:04:03 PM »
I always thought it would be cool to see and hear about other people's gyms.

- Where do you or have you trained?

- Gym Reviews

- Gym Photos and Videos

- Gym membership prices and guest/visitor policies

- Famous/Bodybuilder Members

- Meetup Workouts with other Team MW athletes!

  • Where do you or have you trained? Many neighborhood gyms, the Y, home gym, Gold's, Planet Fitness
  • Gym Photos and Videos See below
  • Gym membership prices and guest/visitor policies $20/month @ Gold's, $8.75/month @ PF, and I paid $600 for six years at the Lancaster Health Spa many years ago followed by a $50 per year renewal fee (until the gym closed). Gym was originally LHS then Club Phoenix and Fitness America as owners changed.
  • Famous/Bodybuilder Members Mike Mentzer trained at the Lancaster Health Spa the one time, pretty cool, maybe '77 to '79.

Treadmill at Gold's

195 lbs. bench PR

Goblet Squats

Leg Press @ Planet Fitness, 540 X 10

Interesting stuff there Curt. I'm going to channel my inner BBD for a moment. Seeing as you belong to a few
different gyms what is the logic behind this & the Goblet squats, which part of the quad do these target.
Lastly any supplements that you take if any & by whom?

(snip) Seeing as you belong to a few different gyms what is the logic behind this

Gold's is maybe two minutes from my front door if I hit all the lights.

Planet Fitness is dirt cheap and less than five minutes from my work. Also it's a former World Gym with a leg press machine that hasn't been chopped as well as plenty of throwback gym rats who would probably get the furry eyeball from other PFs in the chain.

the Goblet squats, which part of the quad do these target.

What?

(Googles)

According to teh Interwebz, it's basically a front squat. Makes sense to me.

I'm a rep for http://www.ironmaglabs.com/ and just received a shipment from them including a 5lb container of their Dutch Chocolate Whey Protein Isolate and Flex Rx Chondroitin Glucosamine MSM supplement.

Took advantage of their current sale -- 20% off plus free shipping on orders over $100.

I'm also a GNC alumnus :-p and take a multi, vitamins A, D, C, B complex, fish oil, digestive enzymes, as well as tinker toy supplements that catch my eye at the mall or grocery store.

Curt, what are your opinions on all of these supplements?  I'm talking about bodybuilding supplements and powders, not just protein, but everything else like NO, creatine, etc.  Do you think they work?

Have you seen what I look like? lol NOTHING WORKS.

Creatine is supposed to be tried and true.

And I can tell you that http://www.ironmaglabs.com/product-list/super-dmz-rx/ from IronMagLabs simply works. Strength will skyrocket and you will gain lean mass on that product. No doubt.

They're sinking Superdrol -- the FDA from what I hear -- so when it's gone it's gone. A reforumlation is going to occur and it's supposedly going to be even more effective than the current formula.

Also, IML is coming out with an Ostarine SARM product around mid-March. Check out the site if you have an interest in supps that do work.
